La street competition digitale di quest'anno vedrà protagonisti alcuni negozi a sorpresa dalle regioni dell'America e dell'Asia Pacifica, insieme ai vincitori europei dell'edizione 2020 e a nuovi concorrenti

We're stoked to announce that Vans 'The Circle' is back for 2021 and this year it's even bigger and better than ever with 19 shops competing from around the globe, and the addition of a photography award to add some extra creative juice into the mix. Read on to find out everything you need to know including the full list of stores that you'll be seeing videos from here from October 13th. (Sept. 30 2021) – Vans, the original action sports footwear and apparel brand, is excited to announce The Circle – Vans’ digital street video competition – is back and bigger than ever. First introduced on a European level in 2020, the online competition gave BMX shops across the region the chance to film a team edit, celebrating their riders and the local communities. This year, three global guests have joined the European crew and will all compete to win a share of the €20,000 prize pot. The concept remains the same. Each invited shop receives a budget to help cover the costs of filming and editing their team video. Then they have two months to pull together an edit worthy of the top prizes. They will be judged on criteria such as inclusivity, creativity and style by a brand-new panel of BMX legends, including Vans riders – Dennis Enarson, Angie Marino and Dan Lacey – as well as athlete and filmer, Calvin Kosovich. And the final (and most important judge) is the BMX community, who can cast their vote on DIGBMX.com ahead of the live virtual finals on October 21st. Alongside prizes for the Top 3 shops, MVP, Best Trick, Creative Vision and DIG Community Favourite, this year’s competition will introduce a new award for Photography, further supporting the expressive creators within the BMX community.

Vans, il marchio originale di abbigliamento, calzature e accessori per sport estremi, è orgoglioso di annunciare che The Circle, il video concorso digitale di Vans è tornato, più grande che mai!

La competizione online è stata lanciata per la prima volta a livello europeo nel 2020 ed ha permesso ai negozi di BMX della regione di registrare un video per celebrare i loro rider e le comunità locali. Quest'anno, tre ospiti da tutto il mondo si sono uniti alla crew europea e gareggeranno per vincere una parte del montepremi di 20.000 euro.

Il concetto è sempre lo stesso. Ogni negozio invitato a partecipare riceverà un budget per coprire i costi di registrazione e montaggio del video del proprio team. I negozi hanno due mesi di tempo per creare un edit degno dei premi più importanti.

Saranno giudicati secondo vari criteri, come inclusività, creatività e stile, da un'inedita giuria di leggende della BMX, tra cui i rider di Vans Dennis Enarson, Angie Marino e Dan Lacey, e anche l'atleta e film-maker Calvin Kosovich. Il giudice finale (e il più importante) sarà l'intera comunità BMX, che potrà votare sul sito DIGBMX.com prima delle finali in diretta streaming il 21 ottobre. Oltre ai premi per i 3 migliori negozi, MVP, Best Trick, Creative Vision e DIG Community Favourite, nella competizione di quest'anno verrà introdotto il nuovo premio Photography, per dare un ulteriore sostegno ai creatori più espressivi della comunità BMX.
